What better way to celebrate Climate Week for our beneficiaries than with the arrival of Sun King Solar Kits at Molo Solar Light Group , created with the IMARISHA project (AID 10934/MATE/KEN) co-financed by AICS – Italian Agency for Development Cooperation?
A series of innovative products, certified Lightening Global , will now be sold to families in the forest areas of Molo, where there is no electricity.
Here, in fact, more than half of the population uses koroboi , traditional lamps, which burn paraffin and kerosene.
These lamps not only emit greenhouse gases, but also very dangerous carcinogens. They also erode the income of families.
From today, thanks to the support of Mani Tese and NECOFA , there is an alternative! These are 100% green solar lamps , which provide light, a charging socket for your cell phone and some even a radio!
This allows beneficiaries to no longer have to depend on fossil fuels, have free electricity and therefore be able to improve their income as well as their health.
The arrival of the solar kits is certainly a great way to celebrate Climate Week here in Kenya too…
